Our Back To School Summer Event was on August 2, 2015. OfA Kids gave away backpacks, school supplies, and 7 scholarships. OfA Kids serves about 300 students at this event.
Mari was a volunteer for the Special Olympics. The opening ceremony was held at the Forum July 22, 2015. In attendance were Mayor Butts and Councilman Dotson.
6 students from Grace Hopper Academy received scholarships from OFA Kids Organization of $200.00 each to buy their uniforms to attend the 8th grade.
OfA Kids Organization participated in the Relay For Life on June 6, 2015.
Mari visited Frank Parent Elementary School to reward the students. The students completed a special assignment and at the end of May 2015 at which time she went into the classroom to award them prizes.
OfA Kids came to Mari’s house to celebrate Easter and to receive prizes for good report cards on April 5, 2015.
Mari Morales Rodriguez was selected to receive the Woman of the Year 2015 Award in Sacramento by Assemblywoman Autumn Burke.
In March 2015, Mari went to Highland Elementary School, to reward the students, having participated in a special project, “Animal Habitat”.
