The OFAKIDS Back to School event was held on August 23, 2024. Happy students received free backpacks and school supplies.
2024 OFAKIDS Scholarship Event
On August 17, 2024, OFAKIDS presented over 130 scholarships to well-deserving high school and college students. Andrea Steers Goodman, Donald Goodman, Don Lee Farms, were so generous enough to donate 60,000 dollars to fund the scholarships. Movie Night with the LA RAMS
Thank you LA RAMS for inviting the OFAKIDS and their families to the Cinepolis in Inglewood we enjoyed the movie Despicable me 4. Students received a free RAMS hoodie, refreshment , candies and a picture with one of the players.
Movies in the Park
Lots of fun with the community with movies in the park on July 10. OFAKIDS gave away books and snacks and drinks.
City of Inglewood 2024 State of the City Address
Mari Morales Rodriguez was honored as a Community Champion at the State of the City Address held at the newly constructed Intuit Dome, Inglewood, CA. The economic summit held on June 28, 2024 was hosted by Inglewood mayor, James T. Butts and co-hosted by LA Clippers owner, Steve Balmer.
Book Giveaway
OFAkids book giveaway on June 26 was a big success! We also made friendship bracelets with the kids.
