One For All – OFA is offering scholarships to High School students continuing onto college! The scholarship application is open in January, that way students can begin collecting the requirements. Do not wait until the last minute.
We are no longer accepting students already in college.
Application Requirements
Staple your application in this order:
- The OFAkids Application Form
- Requirements include a transcript with GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Letter of acceptance from the college or university that you have been accepted to
- Letter of recommendation from your principal, counselor, or teacher
- Written essay of at least 1 page (single-spaced) explaining why you qualify to receive the $500.00 to $1,000 OFA Scholarship. You can write about family, hobbies, friends, community service or anything that you have done to make a difference in your community.
The application must be typed and printed. We WILL NOT accept handwritten applications. Do not email application. This application must be filled out using a PDF editor (ex; Kami or Adobe Acrobat) Applications must be mailed by regular mail or may be hand-delivered to the OFA Office by pushing through the mail-slot.
All the requirements must be legible for consideration; incomplete applications will not be considered for the OFA scholarship. If you have any questions, please send an email to mmorales@ofakids.org.
Scholarship Rules
- You must be present from the beginning of the OFAKIDS Scholarship Ceremony to the end (NO EXCEPTIONS). Please don’t ask if you can be exempt from the ceremony due to work or family matters, no excuses will be accepted. You CANNOT request for a family member to attend the ceremony to receive your check on your behalf.
- If you are unable to attend the Scholarship Award Ceremony which typically is held in August, please let us know via email with your first and last name prior to the event. We will allow you to attend the next Scholarship Ceremony, which will be in December of the same year. You cannot ask for your funds earlier than the ceremonies.
- If you know Mari’s home address, DO NOT deliver applications there, it will not be accepted.
FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions
- What do I wear?
High School seniors will be wearing their school’s cap and gown.
- I cannot attend, is there another ceremony?
Yes, in December. Please let us know that you will attend that ceremony instead of August.
- I applied but didn’t receive an email.
Please check your spam or junk folder. The sender is from mmorales@ofakids.org. All applicants, whether accepted or not received a notification detailing their information.
- How much will I receive as a High School senior?
3.0+ $500 / 4.0+ $1,000
- Can I bring friends/family members?
Yes, there is no limit.
